When To Use The Conditional Tense:

  • Used in place of the enlish words - Would, could, must have, or probably
  • To express probability or wonder

Conditional Tense Endings:

  • The same endings as imperfect except you ADD them to the INFINITIVE
  • The endings stay the same for -ar, -er, and -ir

Irregulars of the Conditional Tense:

  • There are 11 main iregulars in the conditional tense

  • The irregulars for the conditional tense are they same as the irregulars in the future tense
  • To conjugate irregulars in the conditional, simpley add the correct ending with the new irregular stem
Irregulars:decir -> dir-
valer -> valdr-
poder -> podr-
salir -> saldr-
querer -> querr-

hacer -> har-
saber -> sabr-
venir -> vendr-
poner -> pondr-
haber -> habr-
tener -> tendr-
